As our country recovers from two devastating typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng, the Philippine Marketing Association has extended support to the victims including staff of PMA and 30 orphans from the House of Refuge, Provident village, Marikina City. A time to work together …and rebuild lives.

But before the occurrence of the calamity, PMA had successfully organized the STRATMARK with the theme “On the Road to recovery:What’s Hot, What’s Cool”, at the new Cuneta Astrodome last September 4.. An estimated 4,500 students Braved the rain and traffic to learn from the marketing experts. The winners of the STRATCOM, a market research competition on “Eating habits of the Youth today” were announced and the grand winners are from Southville Foreign College.

The Council of President’s meeting held last September 10 was an opportunity for the incumbent President to give a report on the present PMA
Activities and give them the assurance that the organization is in healthy condition.

The PMA is honored to have been a partner of the GO NEGOSYO Youth Summit held last September 11 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia. I was part of the panel and gave Marketing tips for aspiring entrepreneurs during the event.

The kick-off of the National Marketing Caravan was held last September 14 in PMA Iloilo, AMIGO Hotel.100 students participated in the morning session and 60 businessmen in the afternoon session. The National Marketing Caravan is supported by PLDT SME.

Work is in progress for the PMA-GOOGLE Business Stimulus package, a corporate website design program that will be available to PMA members nationwide . Coordination with Subic Bay Management Administration (SBMA) for the implementation of the Marketing Plan to assist them in tourism/ industry programs. Finally, we are preparing for the judging and the awarding/reunion of the AGORA Awards and publication of the 2005-2009 AGORA Yearbook to celebrate its 30th Anniversary. The SME Marketing Conference is under way in partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship.
