PMA’s “Go N.G.O.!” @ UNTV

Philippine Marketing Association (PMA), the country’s premier marketing organization inked an agreement with Breakthrough and Milestones Production International (BMPI) to co-produce an NGO and business oriented TV program entitled “Go N.G.O.!”

Go N.G.O.! is a one hour public affairs program aired over channel 37 UHF, Sky and Home cable channel 21, Global Destiny channel 99 and nationwide via local cable operators under the must carry rule of the National Telecommunications Commission. It is also beamed live on real time in North America thru IPCube.com; in Japan thru World on Demand-New Media Group IPTV and thru our webcast at http://www.untvweb.com/

Regular schedule for TV airing is every Thursday primetime from 7:00 to 8:00pm and anchored by one of the country’s seasoned radio/TV broadcast journalist, Mr. Alex Flores, concurrently President of the Philippine Marketing Association (founded 1954).

GO N.G.O. Weekly episode features:

Regular interviews with the select personalities from various N.G.O.’s in the country today.
-    Location shootings to feature diversified activities/outreach programs/products and services of said N.G.O.’s (real life drama/experiences may eventually be part of the segment.
-    Officials from different part agencies whose concerns, missions and objectives are supportive of aid N.G.O.’s.
-    Entertainment portions and trivia questions heighten meant to theintends and participation of the targeted televiewers, talented and outstanding co-hosted a sheet team of PMA’ers.

By bringing to the fore the various programs and services being espoused by both the NGO and Government institutions, the televiewers then could learn and benefit immensely from this public service TV program. PMA Select 12 Top Marketing Students to Agora Youth Awards Finals

The PMA Youth and Academe Committee headed by VP Gwenn Galvez released the list of 12 finalists to the Agora Youth Awards for 2009. The 12 semi finalists were selected from a total of 20 marketing students from schools in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao who submitted marketing plans from a case provided by the AYA 2009 major sponsor HBC.

The 12 finalists are:

Mary Sandra Ascalon, Keithlee Chua, Miko Co, Ria Rochelle Gatmaitan, Hannah Lou Javier, Stephanie King, Ralph Layco, Beatriz Lim, Kathleen Maalindog, Alexis Tong, Nicole Villarojo and Katrina Villanueva. They will undergo a final round of presentations and interviews by the judges PMA President Mylene Abiva, RFM Foundation President Marie Concepcion Young, HBC AVP for Corporate Planning Edgar Caper, and former PMA President and CSR advocate Isabelita Palanca.

Six students will selected as the AYA winners and will be presented in the awarding ceremonies on March 25, 2009 from 5 to 7pm at the PSE Auditorium. The keynote speakers will be Marie Young and Edgar Caper. Caper is an AYA aluma. The AYA 2009 are supported by HBC, National Bookstore, Media Partners, Next Step Events, Executive Decisions, Anvil Publishing, Binalot, Blooming Ventures and Abiva Publishing.

The Youth and Academe committee are composed of Galvez, Edwin Mapanao, Annaliza Laxamana, Tito Encarnacion, Vince Reyes and Luigi Abiva.

National Marketing Caravan Slated

The Philippine Marketing Association,an organization dedicated to advancing marketing as a profession in the Philippines, has dedicated 2009 to the cause of social development and marketing for humanity.

The organization, in its endeavor to make a difference in light of the global financial crunch, will be conducting the National Marketing for Humanity Caravan to help all stakeholders across different sectors to get the knowledge and skills they need to cope with these difficult times.

PMA, which values the practice of marketing with a social conscience, hopes the participants will likewise realize the importance of working together to ease the burden that all Filipinos are facing today.

The Caravan will culminate in Baguio City to coincide with the Chapters-sponsored CEO Marketing Leadership Conference to be held on November 16-17 at the Baguio Country Club. The city is celebrating her centenary this year 2009.
