National Marketing Caravan Slated

The Philippine Marketing Association, an organization dedicated to advancing marketing as a profession in the Philippines, has dedicated 2009 to the cause of social development and marketing for humanity.

The organization, in its endeavor to make a difference in light of the global financial crunch, will be conducting the National Marketing for Humanity Caravan to help all stakeholders across different sectors to get the knowledge and skills they need to cope with these difficult times.

PMA, which values the practice of marketing with a social conscience, hopes the participants will likewise realize the importance of working together to ease the burden that all Filipinos are facing today.

The VP Chapters is headed by Henry Tenedero while Ricky de Vera serves as VP Chapters Emeritus. The Committee members are: Tito Encarnacion, Yvonne Villacorte, Jerry Yao, Dolor Oller, Alvin Arellano and Richard Anonuevo.

The Caravan will culminate in Baguio City to coincide with the Chapters-sponsored CEO Marketing Leadership Conference to be held on November 16-17 at the Baguio Country Club. The city is celebrating her centenary this year 2009.

Objectives

National Caravan Benefits

Update members on new marketing trends and strategies
Generate funds for the chapters
Will help recruit new & more members
Will make the chapters become more active, more involved and aligned with PMA National
Will make the PMA & the Chapters more relevant to the members

Responsibilities
PMA National
:
Take care of the airfare of the resource speakers, PMA officials and Chapters Committee member in charge of the particular chapter.
Get sponsors to help defray travel expenses related to the project.
Promote the project via national media.

PMA Local Chapters:
Organize the event (Venue and Technical Requirements Bookings)
Take care of the hotel accommodation & food of the speakers, PMA officials and Chapters Committee member in charge of the particular chapter.
Take care of the honorarium for the speakers.
Promote the project locally via local media.
Collect fees from the seminar attendees.
Solicit sponsorship to help defray expenses related to the mounting of the project.
Contribute P2,500 to the funds for the PMA National Chapters.
Income:
Income generated by the PMA Local Chapters for the project will all go to the chapters which can be used to finance their other projects.
