The Emerging Trend of Hybrid Marketing was the key topic of the last general membership meeting of Phil Marketing Association – Batangas Chapter last May 29 at Max’s Restaurant Ayala Highway, Lipa City. The theme was powered by Mr. Michael Herrera, Managing Director of Market Wall as the guest speaker for the evening.The chapter president, Ms. Ruth De Jesus-Garcia , Marketing Communications Manager of Jetbest Multi -lines Corporation, believes that bringing “hybrid strategy” will give its members a more practical approach and an integrated efforts for companies with branding importance. Brands must consider the costs associate with deployment, control and management to sustain such strategy. The key is to have a fluid approach in creating meaningful dialog with our market. This type of practice does not rely on a single ad campaign that uses television, print and radio advertisements to deliver a consistent message. It uses two-way marketing to receive greater input from consumers and uses digital media to more precisely direct messages and different demographics.
“Hybrid Marketing” is a relatively recent term used to describe a combination of both old and new types of marketing methods. The shift in consumer behavior to having the on-line experience through social media as the current trend in the industry is becoming more acceptable, accessible and affordable.
More people are adjusting to the “new way of doing things”. There is a place for the shrinking traditional media. It will continue to evolve based on how we act and react to technology. But for now, maybe it’s time to review our strategies.
